Not to be confused with a kitchen table ledge.
Description: Kitchen Ledge is a plate reheated on the re-heating plate raised up from it’s normal position. It usually become sturdier as time goes on and sometimes have to do with bad parenting or neglectful guardians.
One of the main reasons for a child having a kitchen ledge is due to laziness and negligence of the subject. [In most cases]
For example, when raising children [parents], if they fail to pick up their plate after being told several times to do so, then there is a high chance that they will become less respectful in future, but also it can lead to laziness, because if they never have to clean up after themselves then they don’t learn how.
Then this behaviour may carry on into later life or be carried out by their children.
This does not always happen however as there are many other factors that could lead to the creation of a kitchen ledge. For example, not having a high chair.
In this day and age, kitchen ledges are making an unwelcome comeback into society as part of what is known as the ‘hipster’ culture where such actions such as drinking Pabst Blue Ribbon from baby bottles whilst smoking Camel cigarettes and reading Kerouac novels whilst sitting around in bath robes beforej setting off for a job in an advertising agency where they use #hashtags daily to find jobs has become commonplace.
However, this does not mean that this is the case with every hipster. Like most trends it is often just for attention or to seem cooler than others around them by doing something quirky or new without realising that the trend is in fact dying out in the mainstream.
However, this is not to say that everyone who likes hipsters are bad people or that it is a purely negative trend. It is simply an observation made by numerous social scientists and religious fanatics who have studied this phenomena over many years until they came to the conclusion of their findings.
